RO water: also called pure water, which is water filtered by reverse osmosis membrane. The pore size accuracy of the reverse osmosis membrane is 0.0001um, which can remove bacteria and viruses in the water, as well as more than 95% of ionic impurities.
Distilled water: Water obtained by utilizing the difference in volatility of each component in a liquid mixture to vaporize water and subsequently condense and separate the vapor portion. So there will be very little inorganic salt in it. Although the non-volatile components (salts) are removed, the volatile components (ammonia, carbon dioxide, organic matter) in the water will still enter the distilled water.
ddH2O: Distillation-Distillation H2O, water obtained by distillation twice, has fewer impurities than distilled water.
Deionized water: water from which all anions and cations have been removed. The ions in the water are mainly removed through RO membrane and mixed bed resin. Many people also call RO water deionized water, which is inaccurate.
Ultrapure water: Ultrapure water not only removes the conductive medium in the water almost completely, but also removes the undissociated colloidal substances, gases and organic matter in the water to a very low level.
Among them, ultrapure water is the water with the highest purity nowadays, followed by double-stage reverse osmosis water (dual-stage RO water), double-distilled water (ddH2O), pure water (RO water), and distilled water.
